Comunidades para Americanos Nuevos! (CAN!)

Communities for New Americans!

Comunidades para Americanos Nuevos! (CAN!) is a new program of RCHP AHC, launched in August 2025 to support immigrant families in Middlesex and Mercer Counties who have been affected by immigration detention.

CAN! focuses on outreach, coordination, and advocacy to ensure families impacted by detention are connected with the resources and support they need. We work with local partners to provide referrals to trusted service providers, offer Know Your Rights sessions, and lead family preparedness and community education efforts. By identifying service gaps, coordinating volunteers, and advocating for expanded capacity in legal and social services, CAN! helps strengthen a network of support for immigrant communities who have experienced the trauma and hardship of family separation.

If you have questions or want to collaborate, please contact CAN! to learn more about our work and how you can get involved. For volunteer opportunities, presentation requests, or to schedule a meeting, reach out to Bella Gerstmann, CAN! Program Director, at bella@rchp-ahc.org
